About the Book

Between the wish and the arrival

What if waiting isn't wasted time?

Every one of us is waiting for something.

A new opportunity. A dream job. A relationship. Healing. Success. A second chance. We often believe life will truly begin once we finally arrive.

But what if the waiting is where life has been shaping us all along?

In The Art of Waiting, Bala MT takes readers on a deeply personal journey through childhood wonder, academic struggles, career setbacks, relationships, fatherhood, health challenges, and unexpected moments of hope. Through honest storytelling, thoughtful thinnai-side reflections, and practical exercises, he reveals how life's greatest lessons are often found not at the destination, but in the quiet space between the wish and the arrival.

This is not a book about simply being patient.

It is about finding purpose while you wait, growing through uncertainty, embracing delayed dreams, and discovering that waiting is not an interruption to life — it is an essential part of becoming who you are meant to be.

If you have ever felt left behind, questioned your timing, or wondered whether your waiting has meaning, this book is for you.

Because sometimes, the greatest transformation happens while nothing seems to be happening at all.

“Patience is a muscle. Arriving later than others is not the same as arriving wrong.”

— Bala MT
